namecheap的域名业务停摆了，快去转出你的域名吧
内容提要：今天VPSTOP站长突然发现自己的一个域名已经过期一天，这个域名是在namecheap购买的，于是就上去续费，结果刚续费就paypal收到了自动退款的消息，到namecheap查看原因，才发现在续费界面有一段文字提示，大意是说由于上游服务商停止了运作，所以导致namecheap的的所有顶级域名（TLD）也没法再接受新注册、续费、转入或管理。大家有在namecheap购买域名的朋友，赶紧把域名转出来
后续更新：域名已经成功重新续费，停摆的只是 Handshake域名（一种基于区块链的去中心化/Web3域名），非传统ICANN 域名。
客服答复如下：
Let me explain about renewal and reactivation.
Renewing the domain before expiration is called renewal.
Renewing the domain after expiration is called reactivation.
Sometimes, it may help to try using another browser and add the domains to the cart once again from the Domain List | Expiring/Expired tab. Please double-check whether a "Reactivation" or "Renewal" item is added to the shopping cart. In case "Renewal" is added, the order will fail.
Please remove the renewal item from the cart and proceed with the reactivation item alone from the cart.

namecheap是被国内用户所熟知的一家域名注册商，其域名相对低价，尤其是以前经常搞转入优惠活动，所以还是比较受欢迎。在2023年左右又打造了一个全新品牌spaceship，价格更为低廉。
在前几天的8月13日，namecheap遭遇了一次较大规模的事故，本次事故同时影响到了namecheap和旗下子品牌spaceship。据namecheap称，是一场风暴摧毁了机房的冷却系统，导致机房温度上升到不安全的温度，为了避免服务器因为温度过高而损坏所以不得不暂时将部分服务器关机。目前所有服务已经恢复。

This is to let you know that due to the wind-down of the corresponding upstream provider all Namecheap Handshake TLDs are no longer available for new registrations, renewals, transfers or management. The existing domains with the current setup will continue to operate.
It does not affect the following TLDs: sox, saas, pgp, p, orb, oot, oo, oh, ill, elite, and creator. They will continue operating as usual.
